What happens if it rains? Don’t worry. Our castles come equipped with a sun/rain roof. On days where inclement weather is forecast, we will contact you to see if you still wish to go ahead with the booking. If the weather becomes too dangerous to operate the castle, we have to cancel the hire because we would never risk anybody’s safety.
How much room do I need to have? Apart from the castle itself, we need an extra metre’s clearance around the castle. For example, if a castle is 4m x 4m, we will need an area of 5m x 5m. We also need to make sure the top of the castle is not able to come in contact with any objects (like overhanging trees or powerlines). We have the dimensions of our castles listed on the website.
What access is required? Our smallest castles pack down to 1m wide and our biggest castles down to 1.5m wide, please let us know if you are not sure if access to the set-up area is sufficient.
How long does it take to set up and pack up the castles? Once we have reached the set-up area, it takes about 15 minutes to get the castle set up and up to about half an hour to deflate and pack up the castle. Set up and deflation occur before and after your booking time commences and finishes and does not count as part of your hire time.
Is delivery free? Delivery is free within 40km of Tamborine. A fee may apply to suburbs outside this area. Call us to discuss.
Who sets up the castle? A Jumping Castles Tamborine staff member will do all the setting up and packing up.
Does the castle have to be set up on grass? The castle does not have to be set up on grass however we need to know if it is going to be on a different surface.
Does somebody need to supervise when the castle is being used? Yes. When the castle is delivered, safety instructions will be explained to an adult who agrees to be responsible for the supervision of children jumping on the castle. A copy of the safety instructions will also be left with the responsible adult.
Can we hire a supervisor? Yes, if you wish to hire a Jumping Castles Tamborine supervisor, you can do so for a fee of $25 per hour. A supervisor is also necessary by law for any hire of a castle to be set up on a public space and it is also a requirement for all corporate bookings.
Can the castles be set up in a park? Castles can be set up in a park with the approval of the local council. If you are thinking of setting up a jumping castle in a local park, give the relevant council a call to see if you require any permits and if any fees need to be paid. A supervisor is also necessary.
Do you have insurance? Yes. We have $10,000,000 public liability insurance. If you wish to see a copy of our certificate of currency we are more than happy to provide you with one.
Do I have to pay a deposit? No, but we really appreciate being notified of any cancellations as soon as you are able to let us know.
How do I pay for the hire of the castle? You can either pay cash on delivery to our Jumping Castles Tamborine staff on the day of the hire or you can pay by cheque a minimum of seven days before the booking.
What if there are steps that lead to the set-up area? Depending on how many steps and which castle you have hired, we may need a hand getting the castle up steps. In most cases, we are able to handle it ourselves, but please let us know if you have steps just in case.
Are the castles clean? The castles are cleaned before and after every use. We pride ourselves on great products that are always clean. We inspect them after they are inflated just to make sure.
How is the jumping castle powered? It runs off electricity and we use the power points at your house. We will need a power point to be within 25m of where the castle is to be set up. We provide a 25m extension lead and residual current device (safety switch). Should the hire be for an area without power points we can hire you a generator at an additional cost. You may provide your own generator but it must be at least 3kva.
What if I need to contact you once the hire has already begun? We are contactable by mobile phone throughout the day. We do not anticipate that you would need to contact us for anything but we are only a phone call away if you need us. If you have a question that was not answered on this page then please give us a call or send us an email. We would love to hear from you!
